India Development Service (IDS) is a nonprofit, non-political, and secular organization supporting economic and social development in India .
Empowerment
IDS supports empowering disenfranchised women, children, lower castes, and tribal communities. In Gujarat, we supported Sahiyar in conciousness-raising among Dalits, Muslim women, and slum dwellers. And, working with Tribal Community Action, IDS conducted training camps on the legal rights relevant to land holdings and forest resources.
